Lawrence Christmas Parade
The Lawrence Christmas Parade began in 1993 as one man’s idea to gather friends and spotlight the historic Eldridge Hotel in downtown Lawrence. Since then, it has grown to a nationally recognized, all horse power event to celebrate the beginning of the holiday season. From a humble beginning of 21 horse-drawn entries, the parade has hosted as many as 70 horse-powered vehicles paying tribute to the contribution of the horse in our transportation heritage.

Justin Corbet Foundation
The Justin Corbet Foundation is dedicated to the memory of Justin Corbet and his love for helping others enjoy shooting sports and the great outdoors. They are committed to the financial support of programs that will recruit, educate and train youth, women, persons with disabilities and newcomers to shooting sports.

Project Topeka Community Food Drive
Since 1986, Project Topeka Community Food Drive has been providing food for hungry families through its annual February food collection effort. This effort has grown to collect the equivalent of nearly 200 tons of food annually for distribution through seven local food banks.
